Cord's Café

Cord's Café in Bremen's Überseestadt district invites you to linger in a cosy atmosphere right on the Weser river. Owner Falk Strecker consistently focuses on high-quality products and mindful handling of food – for the well-being of body and soul. The café is a popular meeting place for locals and visitors alike.

"I want to do something good for people" says Falk Strecker as he expertly prepares a cappuccino with the café's own coffee. Everything in his café is homemade – whether savoury bagels and sandwiches, sweet cakes, fresh smoothies or carefully prepared coffee variations. "With an extra spark of love", adds the new restaurateur.

Originally from Bremen, he started out in management consulting – a field of experience that now stands him in good stead in his day-to-day café life . For him, catering is not only a passion, but also a real business. The café has now become his main occupation – and a labour of love. "I really enjoy it here", he says. So much so that he is already thinking about opening more cafés.

What Falk Strecker particularly appreciates about Green Box is the wide variety of packaging and the uncomplicated process. "Everything from a single source", says the café owner. His regular range includes flat bags, custom-printed paper cups, PLA cups and practical burger boxes, which are perfect for his extensive selection of cakes. The underlying concept of sustainability fits seamlessly into the concept of his café, which consistently focuses on high-quality and selected products.

The name "Cord's Café" was chosen with care – and tells two stories that define the café. On the one hand, it alludes to the special interior: cosy corduroy furniture that radiates warmth and invites you to linger. It gives the room its own character – soft, cosy and unpretentious. On the other hand, "Cord" is a loving tribute to Falk Strecker's grandfather. Kord, as he was called, was an early bird: Every morning, he got up at 4:30 a.m. and started the day with a cup of coffee – simple and down-to-earth. This is exactly the feeling he wants to convey with his café : to create a place that stands for enjoyment and mindfulness.
